It is better to INVEST than to GIVE

Giving is such a wonderful feeling. Sharing the joy a person experiences when they open their gifts is part of what makes this season so special.

My wife, Carmen, and I are learning that there’s something even more powerful than that feeling…INVESTING in others.

Via our non-profit organization, One Blue Village, we gave suits (along with shirts and ties) to some outstanding young men at Williamsport (Pa) High School. These suits weren’t just gifts. They were an investment in young men who work diligently to build better futures for themselves, their families and their community. They were a statement. They were a reward for hard work. They were a source of hope and inspiration.

Finally, the difference between a gift and an investment is the FUTURE RETURN on an investment. I can’t wait to see how awesome these young men grow up to be.
